Imina Technologies develops, manufactures and markets high-precision robotic solutions for micro- and nanoscale manipulation and electrical characterization. To strengthen our R&D team, we are looking for a Mechatronics Engineer who will develop new products and integrate the existing solutions according to customers’ requests. You will design micro-mechanisms and electronic circuits, interface sensors, program microcontrollers, build and test prototypes. Working in a small team will give you an opportunity to develop new technical and communication skills. Our engineers lead their projects while closely collaborating with others within the company and with external partners.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Development of precision mechanisms, electronic components, and software modules. You will turn concepts into finished products.
  • Test and quality. You will characterize performance of the developed solutions, analyze the root causes of failures, assess their manufacturability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Project management. You will formulate technical requirements for the development of mechatronics solutions, lead projects, and prepare technical reports and documentation.
  • Innovation. You will help our solutions challenge the state-of-the-art, while growing your own technical expertise.

To succeed in this position, you will need the following experience and skills:

  • MSc or PhD degree in microengineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years prior experience in design and industrialization of mechatronics products.
  • Fluency with CAD tools for mechanical and electronic design.
  • Strong practical sense and a taste for great industrial design.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Full proficiency in English (C1 level), French is a plus.

Ideally, you also have experience with:

  • Design and control of high-precision positioning devices and piezo actuators.
  • Software development.
  • Optical and electron microscopy.
