Dr. Roddaro received his PhD in quantum Hall physics in 2005, at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. He has worked for several years on charge and heat transport in semiconductor nanowires, starting from 2006 when he joined the Nanometer Consortium of Lund University in Sweden. After further professional experience in at the NEST Laboratory (Pisa Italy, 2008-2011), Instituto de Nanociencia de Aragón (Zaragoza Spain, 2011) and at the Istituto Officina dei Materiali / Elettra synchrotron (Trieste Italy, 2011-2013), he joined in 2013 the permanent staff of the Istituto Nanoscienze of CNR in Pisa. Today he leads the Nanowire Device Transport Group and serves as professor at Scuola Normale Superiore. His main scientific interests today focus on quantum transport and thermoelectric phenomena in nanostructures.
